It’s finally here! Well, almost. AMC has just released a lengthy trailer for its hotly anticipated ‘Better Call Saul,’ the follow up to its smash series ‘Breaking Bad’ and it’s pretty much as amazing and ridiculous(!) as you’d expect.
We’ve had a huge, meth lab-sized hole in our hearts since Breaking Bad went off the air in 2013. Luckily, though, the show will live on through its new spinoff series Better Call Saul. The show’s two-night premiere kicks off on Feb. 8, and we’ve got the trailer inside to get you pumped! Check it out!
‘Better Call Saul’ Extended Trailer: Saul Is Back
Fans might remember Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) as Breaking Bad‘s resident fast talking lawyer who was always there to assist Walt and Jesse in getting out of trouble and — spoiler — many of his problem-solving methods were not exactly legal.
From the looks of this extended trailer, Saul will be up to more of the same when he takes center stage in the new series– only he seems to be going by alias James McGill. The series is set six year prior to when Walt first dropped in, so we’re sure the show will have plenty of explaining to do.
For fans of Breaking Bad, the trailer has a special bonus: a peak at audience favorite Mike (Jonathan Banks), reprising his role. Obviously, because the show is a spinoff, we have to wonder: are Jesse and Walt going to make some sort of appearance on the new series?
Sadly, according to E! Online, that’s not going to happen– not yet anyway. Per an executive producer, “Walt and Jesse will not appear in season one.” Such a bummer, but all hope is not lost! “We’re not saying it’s never going to happen, we’re not saying it will happen,” they went on.
We can live with those odds! Regardless, we are so excited for Better Call Saul!
Will you be watching the show? And how much do you miss Breaking Bad?
