Rest in peace, Beau Kazer. The Canadian actor who played Brock Reynolds on The Young and the Restless for most of its 40 year run on television, passed away on Dec. 30 in Thousand Oaks, CA, according to People. Click for a look back at Beau’s amazing years!
Beau rose to fame by playing Jeanne Cooper‘s lawyer son on the long running daytime drama. Though he left the show in 1980, he reappeared on and off from 1984 to 2013, when he came back to attend his TV mother’s funeral in one of the show’s most heartwarming episodes.
Beau also appeared on another television shows such as General Hospital, Hart to Hart, and B.J. and the Bear, and had an incredible acting career.
Young and the Restless star Daniel Goddard took to his Facebook to remember the late actor. “RIP Beau Kazer (Brock) I remember the first time I heard your voice and thought wow! This guy should have been in radio! Then I watched u act and was blown away with how natural and honest your performances always were. God Bless.”
Patti Denney, the head of hair and makeup on the show, also shared a heartfelt message on her Twitter. “So sad to hear of the passing of Beau Kayser …Brock Reynolds on the Young &The Restless…Kay Chancellor’s son…rest in peace Beau❤,” she wrote.
Beau is survived by his wife, Sharon Alkus.
