‘Downton Abbey’ made its return to PBS on Sunday night, but it wasn’t as jam-packed as audiences have become accustomed to. In fact, some fans were seriously upset because not enough went down!
Jan. 4 marked the first episode of 2015 of Downton Abbey, and fans of the show had been eagerly awaiting its return. So why were some let down, and what were they hoping for? Well, naturally, they took to Twitter to express it.
‘Downton Abbey’ Premiere — Fans Find It Dull
Downton Abbey has become known for the high drama punch it packs in basically every episode. Yet, when the show returned for a fifth season on Jan. 4, some fans were upset when not enough drama unfolded in the hour-long premiere.
Many viewers took to Twitter to share their disappointment with the British series’ premiere episode, with several fans calling it “boring” or “stale .”
