Country chart-topper Blake has already shown how versatile he is by being a hilarious and insightful judge on The Voice, and now opportunity has come knocking on his door again.
“The Super Bowl organizers are looking to mix it up a little bit for the person to do the national anthem. They want a guy and they have asked Blake Shelton,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
We’ve has been lucky enough to see Blake perform live on multiple occasions, and he puts on an amazing show — we think he would be perfect for this gig! So what’s his answer?
“He hasn’t responded to it yet but they are anticipating a yes and they want to make the announcement during an upcoming playoff game,” our source explains. “So they are looking to lock the performer in by the end of the week. But Blake is on the top of the list.”
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Blake will say yes!
Either way, there’s going to be one hell of a show at the Super Bowl this year! Katy Perry is doing the halftime show and it sounds like it’s going to be her hottest performance yet!
“Katy is in complete rehearsal mode for her Super Bowl performance, she wants to make it feel like a complete party and something that will be remembered forever,” another source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
