Shiloh Joile-Pitt’s Suit For ‘Unbroken’ Premiere — The Meaning Behind Her Outfit
“I love Shiloh wearing the suit and tie,” Al Roker said told Angelina during her first television interview since missing the Unbroken premiere due to the chicken pox.
“Yeah,” Angelina proudly said, “and she had [Louis Zamperini]’s shoe on, that he won in 1940.”Louis Zamperini is the olympic athlete that Unbroken is based on. She added, “He will forever be that inspiration to us all.”
Angelina came down with a case of the chicken pox just one day before her big premiere. She told Al that her kids really stepped up to the plate in her absence.
“Of course it was really fun that my kids took the mantle. They took it very seriously when I said, ‘You’ve got to represent mom. You’ve got to do this for me.’ My kids knew and loved Louis, so I was like, ‘You’ve got to do this for Louis, you know? You’ve got to get out there.’ So, they were excited about the mission.”
Angelina & Brad Support Shiloh’s Clothing Decisions
When Shiloh was only 4-years-old, Angelina went on the record to talk about her daughters wardrobe decisions. “I think she is fascinating, the choices she is making,” she told Reuters about Shiloh’s attire.
“And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting,” she added.
Angelina said she thinks that “children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth.”
“Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go,” Angie declared.
