Miley Cyrus, you are finally smiling again with new boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger, 21, after your sad split from ex fiancé Liam Hemsworth, 24.
But we hear that unfortunately you haven’t been embraced by Patrick’s mom, Maria Shriver, 59, who reportedly is concerned by your free-spirited ways and your love of partying.
Supposedly, Patrick wanted to invite you to his family Thanksgiving dinner and his sister Katherine‘s birthday party and that was a no go.
Granted, your major partying in Miami and sexy Instagrams probably didn’t do much to allay Maria’s fears that you’re a wild one, but on the other hand, you may have gone overboard as a reaction after allegedly being shunned.
We understand that not being accepted by Patrick’s family could really hurt, especially after Liam’s brother Chris and his parents were never your fans, but try not to let the situation get you down.
The important thing right now is how Patrick feels about you, and he’s crazy about you.
Patrick loves Miley being Miley. “Miley has been (Patrick’s) celebrity crush forever, so he is now living a dream come true,” a source close to Patrick told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “She is so cool and he loves hanging out with her. They have so much fun together.”
And what’s best of all Miley, is that he loves you just the way you are. He’s not trying to change you. “Patrick loves everything about (Miley). He thinks that she is so original, so cool…” explains the insider.
The bottom line Miley, is that you are an impressive young woman. At the age of 22, you are a worldwide superstar, who did what most child stars have not been able to accomplish, you crossed over into the realm of adult stardom.
And you did it yourself — based on your own talent.
After growing up as Hannah Montana, you reinvented yourself with a sophisticated and catchy chart topping new sound, that resulted in the sale of 4.5 million Bangerz albums and three top singles — “We Can’t Stop,” “Wrecking Ball” and “Adore You.”
Miley, you’re talented, original, hard working and loving. No one could be a better mom to her dogs, a better daughter, sister or friend, and given a chance, no one could be a more loving or loyal girlfriend.
When you were with Liam, you were a dedicated and committed fiancée. You gave the relationship your all.
Hopefully Patrick’s mother, Maria, will come to see beyond your wild party girl exterior and get to know the sweet, thoughtful and creative person that you really are.
It’s not a coincidence that Bangerz was a huge hit. It was filled with the music that YOU created, and then presented in performances — yes twerking — and videos — riding a wrecking ball — that pushed the envelope.
As your good friend and mentor, Wayne Coyne — lead singer of The Flaming Lips, said about you: Miley is “absolutely fun and full of love.”
Miley, if Patrick’s family refuses to even meet you, it’s very much their loss. They’ll never get to know the real you, that Patrick happens to love. And they’ll deny themselves the pleasure of knowing you.
They’ll also put a wedge between themselves and Patrick. Patrick doesn’t want to have to chose between you and his family but insider says that he’s asking that you be included in his family’s Christmas festivities or else he won’t go either.
“Patrick insists on having (Miley) there or he will not come. The spat has turned into a standoff between mother and son, with communication getting more sparse and strained between them ever since Miley came into the picture,” another insider told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Family rifts are never a good thing. Hopefully, Patrick’s family will not let his feelings for you become a wedge between them. It’s so unnecessary.
Miley, be optimistic that they will “embrace” you soon, as we’ve heard, Patrick hopes. When they do, just be your friendly, loving self — hold no grudges.
Surely they’ll discover that to know you, is to love you, like Patrick does.
HollywoodLifers — should Patrick’s family welcome her? Let me know.
