‘RHOA’ star Phaedra Parks has taken on yet another job! This time, the Southern belle is using her influence in Atlanta to help young boys stay out of trouble so they don’t end up behind bar like her estranged husband Apollo Nida. HollywoodLife.com has all the details on Phaedra’s positive cause.
Instead of being angry over all of the RHOA drama, Apollo Nida‘s eight-year jail sentence and his shocking prison interview, Phaedra Parks is using her energy to encourage youth to stay in school. You go, girl!
‘RHOA’: Phaedra Parks Helps African-American Youth
Recently, Phaedra, 41, showed off her soft side by giving back and participating in a charity event called “Save Our Sons.”
The event highlighted the importance of supporting and encouraging African-American boys and men, particularly ones who have grown up fatherless and without positive male role models and strives to giver these beautiful young men information and resources to be successful in life.
A source who attended the extremely successful and uplifting event told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY just how empowering the day was. “Phaedra helped pull the whole event together. She put on an apron and was serving food.”
Phaedra Parks’ Main Goal Is To Be A Parent To Her Two Sons
This is an cause close to Phaedra’s heart.
As HollywoodLife.com has previously reported, Phaedra’s main priority is to provide her two children, Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 19 months, in a loving home and to raise them to be responsible young men.
As the housewife said herself on the Nov. 16 episode of RHOA, she is going to raise her boys as strong men, and that doesn’t include Apollo’s presence.
“My goal is to be a parent, and as a parent, it is my job to protect my boys and make sure that they are normal because I am not raising any Dustin Diamond, Macaulay Culkin or Gary Coleman. I am raising some strong black men, and that’s what they will be,” she said. “Apollo has basically broken our family.”
