‘The Flash’: Mark Hamill To Play Jesse James/The Trickster On CW Series
Mark, 63, will reportedly appear in this season’s 17th episode, airing sometime in 2015. And while he’ll be reprising a role he’s already played, there will be a twist this time around.
On the CW series, “The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights,” according to the character description on Hitfix. He “helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.”
Mark will reunite with John Wesley Shipp, who co-starred with him on the CBS show. John currently plays the father of Barry.
Mark Hamill Was On The ‘Flash’ Team’s Original Wish List
“Having Mark reprise his role as The Trickster was on our original wish list when we were planning our version of The Flash. Christmas and Chanukah came early for us this year when he said yes! We are beyond humbled and excited to have him joining us for another round of deadly trickery,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Hitfix.
The Flash airs Wednesdays at 9 P.M. ET on The CW.
