The ‘Annie’ star kept her look young and fun, thanks to her fancy twist on red carpet footwear! Did you love her embellished sneakers?
Quvenzhané Wallis has always been one to watch on the red carpet. At just 11, she has already developed such a unique sense of style — and what really sets her looks apart is her ability to accessorize! Although she left her beloved slew of puppy purses at home, she still stood out thanks to her embellished sneakers when she arrived at the NYC premiere of Annie on Dec. 7.
Quvenzhané Wallis”Annie’ Premiere Dress & Shoes:
Quvenzhané, who plays the lead in the reboot of the iconic film, knows how to soak up the spotlight — and that’s just what she did in her glam premiere get-up! The young star rocked a beautiful, shimmering frock in a pale pink hue. Her dress, from the Armani Junior boutique, was premiere perfect! It featured rose crystals and sparkled as she arrived on the red carpet.
Not only did she look adorable in her age-appropriate dress but the embellished detailing on the bodice really stood out thanks to her exquisite Converse sneakers — and that’s not all! She added to the fun vibe of the frock by securing her hair with a Deepa Gurnani clip.
Quvenzhané Wallis’ Snekaers — Custom-Made Converse:
Aside from adding a little sparkle to her hair, she also rocked a custom-made pair of embellished Converse sneakers — now that’s one way to stand out.
Deepa Gurnani, the very same designer of the hair clip, custom-embellished Quvenzhané’s sneakers for the special red carpet premiere — and they looked amazing! Her hightops were encrusted with embellishments that matched the pretty, pale pink color of her frock perfectly.
While some may scoff at the idea of sneakers on the red carpet, they were age-appropriate and fun — and she just might be setting a new trend! Sneakers are having a major moment, both on our favorite celebs and on the runways, and we love the way they look on Quvenzhané.
Not only is she a talented trendsetter who beats to her own drum, but let’s not forget that at the tender age of 10 she landed an Armani Junior campaign — and at 9 she became an Oscar nominee!
