It’s a sad day in Hollywood. Ken Weatherwax, who played Pugsley Addams on The Addams Family TV show between 1964 and 1966 died after having a heart attack on Dec. 7, according to a new report. The 59-year-old actor’s family said there will be two funerals — one for family and one for fans.
After starring on the hit television series, Ken went on to play Pugsley Sr. in the 1977 TV movie Halloween With the New Addams Family, according to the Daily Mail. He also voiced the character in the animated series from 1973 until 1975.
Eventually, he started working behind the scenes as a set builder and studio grip, but he always managed to attend fan events and reunions.
A woman claiming to be Ken’s niece posted the very sad news about his death on Facebook, according to HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Variety.
Ken is survived by his 70-year-old brother Joey D. Vieira, who starred in Lassie as Porky, and his Addams Family co-stars: John Astin, 84, Lisa Loring, 56, and Felix Silla, 77.
