Resurrection is known for its shockers, and the jaw-dropping death of Pastor Tom (Mark Hildreth) was one we didn’t see coming. HollywoodLife.com spoke to the cast, including Kurtwood Smith and Omar Epps, about the insane cliffhanger. They dished about what comes next and the possibility of Tom’s return.
In the final moments of the season two episode, Pastor Tom was run over by a car and killed on the spot. Omar, who plays Bellamy, told us and a group of reports about the emotional toll Tom’s death will have on him.
“Pastor Tom was the first person that Bellamy told, the only person he told that he was a Returned,” he said in the group interview. “I think there was a trust there beyond the title of pastor. “
Viewers were stunned to learn that Marty was, in fact, one of The Returned, so what does that mean for Pastor Tom?
“We’ll see what happens with it,” he continued. “This is a show about dead people returning.”
After a death like this, where does the show go from here? Kurtwood, who plays Henry, has the deets.
“Indirectly or directly, that event brings about other things,” he said in a group interview. “It has a big impact on Landon character’s Jack, and that in turn causes other things.”
Things are about to get even crazier in Arcadia!
Resurrection airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Pastor Tom should return? Let us know!
