We know it’s Christmas when the tree is lit in Rockefeller Center . . . but usually we don’t anyone singing classics in a leather corset! LeAnn Rimes is absolutely stunning and sounded amazing during her performance of ‘I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas’ — but was it too sexy?
LeAnn Rimes definitely sang about hippos like we’ve never heard before. She took the stage at the 82nd annual Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center on Dec. 3 to perform the kids’ classic song, but she put on such a sexy rendition, we were left wondering if we were still watching a family special!
Leann Rimes’ Performance At ‘Christmas In Rockefeller’
When LeAnn, 32, hit the stage, she started in an oversized coat. However, after being super sexual during the song, she ended up opening her coat and showing that she was wearing a high-slit black dress with a black corset and thigh-high tights.
I’m not the only one who thought the performance was a little off.
Twitter immediately freaked out so we had to fill you in. Read the reactions below, then let us know what you think. LeAnn Rimes looked great, but do you think she crossed the line on Christmas in Rockefeller Center?

WTF was Leann Rimes singing ‘I want a hippopotamus for Xmas’ like a burlesque show with Madonna cones? I’m disturbed. #RockCenterXMAS

LeAnn Rimes singing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” on a night like this is just offensive, @nbc. On so many levels.
