When ‘The Voice’ Top 10 got cut down to the Top 8, the competition’s youngest contestant, Reagan James, was sent packing. She had so much star power and definitely should have made it further in the competition — she could have even won!
Season 7 of The Voice has seen many talented singers come and go, however, on the Top 10 live results show, 16-year-old Reagan James was wrongfully sent home — here is why I believe she deserved a spot in the Top 8.
‘The Voice’ Reagan James Eliminated: She Deserved A Spot In The Top 8
On Nov. 25, Reagan James, Anita Antoinette and Ryan Sill were in the bottom 3 and each sang for their lives as America live tweeted to save one singer.
America saved Ryan for the second week in a row. It is hard to argue with their choice, because….well, just look at him! He is super hot and he does actually have an amazing voice.
However, Reagan should have also made it through to the Top 8! She may not have had the best voice technically but she had the most promise! The girl was only 16-years-old and she was already singing and acting like a rock star on stage week after week!
Not only did she have the most promise, but she always looked great on stage! I know some think fashion should not be a factor in the competition, but she had that “it” factor. She not only sounded and acted like a rock star, but she looked like one as well! She was the full package.
Reagan’s Unique Performances
Reagan always put her own spin on every song she sang, which in my opinion, screams star potential.
The night before she got eliminated, she sang Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and completely switched it up. Every week, I was excited to watch her perform, not because she had the best voice, but because she always gave such a unique performance that I would want to watch over and over again. To me, that should have at least earned her a spot in the Top 8.
HollywoodLifers, do you agree that Reagan should have made it further in the competition? Let us know!
