Leah Messer, 22, is not the only star of Teen Mom 2. If she decides she truly is done with the show, the docu-series will reportedly continue for a brand-new season featuring the three other young moms: Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska, all 22 years old as well.
Is Teen Mom 2 facing the end?
Rumors are swirling that the show runners could decide not to air a new season without Leah, who recently declared that she would not be returning to the series on Twitter.
Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the case. In fact, the series is ready to start filming any day now — even without Leah.
“The other girls have signed on and are ready to film a sixth season,” a source tells Radar Online. “They’ll be shooting as usual.”
HollywoodLife.com reached out to MTV but sadly they had “no comment” about the report.
Even though MTV has made no official comment about Leah’s departure from the show, she seemed adamant about quitting when she revealed the news to a fan on Twitter.
However, a new report has finally revealed Leah’s reason for wanting out: she doesn’t want to air her potential split with husband Jeremy Calvert for the world to see.
As fans of the show may remember, Leah’s first divorce from Corey Simms aired as part of the series. Now, a source close to the mother-of-three claims she is “scarred” from the experience.
