Bette Midler Disses Ariana Grande: You Don’t Have To Be A ‘Whore’
Bette had some not so nice things to say about Ariana in a new interview with ‘The Telegraph’ on Nov. 24. She believes Ariana needs to ‘trust her talent’ above being a ‘whore.’ Ouch! See the other shocking things Bette had to say about Ari!
Bette Midler, 68, expressed her distaste for young pop stars selling their sexuality in an interview with The Telegraph on Nov. 24. She specifically called out award-winning songstress Ariana Grande, 21, saying some pretty harsh words about the “Love Me Harder” singer, who loves showing off her sexy side.

“It’s always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch looking so ridiculous. I mean it’s silly beyond belief and I don’t know who’s telling her to do it,” Bette says in the interview according to TMZ.
Bette seems to be referencing Ariana’s music video for “Love Me Harder” featuring The Weeknd, where she writhes around in bed dressed in a black leather bralet and skirt.
We say so what if Ariana wants to be sexy! In fact, showing off her sexy side in the “Love Me Harder” music video is really fitting to the emotional song about a broken relationship. Plus Ari’s vocals have never sounded better!
However, Bette doesn’t seem to be knocking Ariana’s talent as a vocalist, but rather for exploiting her sexuality. “Trust your talent,” Bette continued. “You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead.”

Part of Ariana’s marketability is her sultry voice and she accompanies that with a sexy presence. A perfect example is Ariana’s newly released holiday song, “Santa Tell Me.” The song is incredibly soulful and puts you right in the holiday spirit!
Ariana has does some amazing covers of Christmas songs, but we love that she opted to write an original song, which we’re sure will soon be a holiday classic!
