Back in the saddle! Garth Brooks rocked the audience of the American Music Awards on Nov. 23 with a quintessentially country performance of ‘People Loving People’ that had everyone on two coasts clapping along! Put your hands up, make ’em touch!
After a 13 year hiatus from music, Garth Brooks is making the ultimate comeback. New music, new tour, and on Nov. 23, the country superstar performed ‘People Loving People’ live for the AMAs from his tour date Greensboro, N.C. , delighting two audiences at one time like only he could!

So good! Garth performed via satellite on the AMAs broadcast direct from his world tour stop in Greensboro, N.C. His fans in both the arena and in the audience of Nokia L.A. Live got to their feet and clapped along as Garth put on a pumped up, adrenaline-filled performance of his latest single, “People Loving People.” There was really nothing to love about there performance, from Garth’s larger-than-life presence on the stage, to the song’s feel-good lyrics like “People loving people / That’s the enemy of everything that’s evil.”
But performing for two audiences at once wasn’t the only thrill for Garth. The country icon was also nominated for Favorite Album – Country for his ‘Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influence.’ Not bad for a guy who’s been missing from the music scene for over a decade
Garth Brooks: Releases First Album in 13 Years
It’s been quite a month for Garth. Before he headed out on his massive comeback tour, Garth released Man Against Machine on Nov. 11 — his first, new studio album in over 13 years! As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, on Against Machine, Garth continues to write about the middle class experience, rodeos and cowboys. Sure got a taste of that with his performance tonight!
