‘Scandal’: Scott Foley Teases Death In Midseason Finale
No, I’m not talking about Jake, Olivia and Fitz’s love triangle. I’m talking about the Nov. 20 midseason finale of Scandal.
When asked to describe the big episode on Access, Scott Foley, 41, would only give up is one word: “complicated.”
Silence speaks volumes, and when you look as good as Scott, you really don’t have to say anything for Gladiators to be captivated — especially when you choose not to answer this question: will someone be killed?
So basically, he gave away that someone is doomed tonight. Or he’s just a really good actor. Or a big tease.
While he wouldn’t fess up, we’ve got to point out that Mama Pope (Khandi Alexander) is returning for the episode, and she’s always out to kill. Plus, after last week’s Rowan (Joe Morton) showdown, Olivia shouldn’t feel so safe anymore. And either should Ballard. And either should Fitz. (I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again — no wonder Liv drinks so much wine.)
In true Shonda Rhimes fashion, Scott explained, “everything comes to a head and there’s going to be so many questions answered, but so many more.”
Scott Foley: Team Jake Or Team Fitz?
“There seems to be a little shift in the popularity poll between Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Jake,” Scott said. “For the last couple seasons, I’ve been vilified, understandably so…but Shonda Rhimes has this great way of taking characters and building them up and pulling them down…and this season, it seems like people are really backing Jake.”
Even though the Team Jake sensation has been growing, Scott admitted that he gets Fitz. “Even though he does some things that are questionable, he just lost his son — his son was murdered.”
Awww. Scott is just as compassionate as we’d hope he’d be. Swoon.
