So sad. Tracy Morgan is suffering from severe brain injury, after his near-fatal highway crash more than five months ago.
Tracy Morgan‘s lawyer revealed that the actor, 46, may never be the same “Tracy Morgan he once was,” after his limo crashed with a Wal-Mart truck. The comedian is fighting toward recovery, but is struggling through a traumatic brain injury from his June 7, 2014 accident in New Jersey.

“He’s fighting to get better,” Tracy’s lawyer Benedict Morelli said on Nov. 18., adding, “if there’s a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he’s going to try to do that. But we just don’t know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury.”
Tracy’s lawyers spoke of the comedian’s injuries in court in New Jersey on Tuesday, Nov. 18, during a scheduling conference for the lawsuit against Wal-Mart, as the corporation’s truck was involved in the terrible crash on June 7, 2014, which had fans wondering if the actor was dead, after his limo was hit and he was left in critical condition.
Tracy Morgan’s Lawyer: He’s ‘Not Better’ — Comedian May Never Be The Same
“When you have a traumatic brain injury it takes a very long time to find out how you’re going to do and how much you’re going to recover,” Benedict said, not detailing the 30 Rock star’s injuries in court, but highlighting the severity of his current state.
“You just don’t know. So that’s where he is. He’s still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better, and he’s just not better. We’re hoping and praying to get him back to where he was. But the jury’s out.”
Our thoughts remain with Tracy’s family, loved ones and fans, during this difficult time.
