Charles Manson, 80, and his bride, Afton Burton, 26, will tie the knot next month in prison. Apparently, the two will get to touch during the ceremony — they are even allowed to kiss! They will also be allowed to dine on vending machine food — what a treat!
Even thought the couple will get to hold hands and kiss during the ceremony, that is about as far as things will go, according to officials from the California Dept. of Corrections (TMZ).
Manson will not be restrained during the ceremony. However, other than a kiss after the “I do’s,” he will not be allowed any further physical contact.
While the bride is free to wear a gown, Charles must remain in prison attire. They can invite up to 10 guests who are not inmates — one confirmed guest, as we previously reported, will be Charles’ grandson.
The meal will be catered by the company that provides Cup-O-Noodles and they will be allowed to eat dessert from the vending machines.
One person who will not be at the wedding is Afton’s mother, Melissa Barton, according to Inside Edition. She said that even though she will not be in attendance, she still supports her daughter. “She’s not a freak at all…We love her with all our heart,” Melissa said.
The 26-year-old’s upcoming wedding to mass murderer, Charles Manson, did not come as a surprise to her mother. She said, “This is something we’ve been living with for a while. It was not a shock.”
