This is so sad! Katerina Netolicka was found dead in the bathtub of her Czech apartment, just 11 days after her 26th birthday. The cause of her death is still unclear, but we can tell you that Katerina accomplished so much in her short life.

1. Katerina was a cover girl and runway model for several high-end brands.
Before her untimely passing, Katerina’s career was going extremely well. The 5’10 model had been working regularly for 10 years and had been featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and in spreads in Elle magazine. She has also worked on campaigns for Prada and L’Oreal, along with a slew of other European brands.
2. Katerina was found dead by her brother.
It’s so devastating that Katerina’s body was discovered by her brother. Central European News reported that her brother began to worry when she didn’t return his phone calls, so he went to her apartment to check on her. When no one came to the door, he kicked it down and discovered Katerina dead in her bathtub. Her two pet dogs were also found dead nearby.
The cause of death is still unknown, but an autopsy has been requested.
3. Katerina shared her apartment with her boyfriend.
The Czech model lived in her apartment with her boyfriend, Jakub Petruzalek, 29, who is a professional hockey player for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, a Russian club. He was out of the country competing with his team at the time of her death, and Katerina’s friends say that the couple were very happy together.
4. Katerina was a champion kick boxer.
Don’t let the pretty face fool you! Apparently, Katerina had a mean jab and she won the Czech Championship in kickboxing just last month in October.
5. She had a history of depression and self-harm.
A fellow model who lived with Katerina seven years ago and chose to remain anonymous said that Katerina was never a very stable individual:
“Sometimes she acted like two totally different people lived inside her. One minute she was very happy, almost ecstatic. Then sometimes she was depressed and used to self-harm.”
However, another friend of Katerina’s, Adrian Smrcka, believes that her death had something to do with her physical health. She said: “I really don’t know what could have happened… I know she had stopped self-harming and was very happy with her boyfriend.”
