Mark Ballas Blog: Pro Pairs Up With Emma Slater During Week 9
It was a really fun week this week. It was really nice to see Sadie in an elegant ballroom gown, and it was fun to be able to do something that’s never potentially been done on the show before, which was to have another female in the trio dance alongside a female celebrity.
It was definitely a challenge, at first, without being able to have the third person be a male that I wanted to use in my trio dance and then having to switch gears instantly. It was definitely something that was kind of scary, but I feel I ultimately made the correct decision. I thought that Emma was so incredible and perfect. She was the perfect person to dance alongside Sadie. Emma is very sensitive to her partners, very elegant and incredible in every way. It was definitely a big risk choosing Emma, but I feel like it definitely paid off and was the right choice.
Mark Ballas & Sadie Robertson Excited To Be In Semi-Finals
It was a good night all in all. Truly coming down to it, I am so grateful to be in the semi-finals and grateful to all of the fans for voting for us.
I’m really proud of Sadie. I thought she really showed a completely different side of her last night. She was so elegant, so poised and so beautiful.
What To Expect From Mark & Sadie Next Week On ‘DWTS’?
I’m really looking forward to taking on this week and hopefully making a dash for the finals. I’m so incredibly proud of Sadie and really happy to be here again. This week is plugged un-plugged where we dance to the same song twice, but two different versions of the song.
We have the quick step and the argentine tango. Hopefully these two styles will be great with Sadie. We’re looking forward to competing and hopefully taking it all the way!
One more time, I can’t thank fans enough and I’m very proud of Sadie.
Until next week,
— Mark Ballas
