’16 & Pregnant’s Jordan Cashmyer Attempts Suicide
You might remember Jordan from her episode of 16 & Pregnant during it’s fifth season, which aired in June 2014.
Unfortunately, just over 4 months after appearing on the show, Jordan attempted to take her own life. Although an exact date is not known for when she tried to commit suicide, it has been confirmed that it was at the very end of October/beginning of November.
“I felt that there wasn’t much of a reason to live anymore. After trying to overdose, I was taken to a hospital and have been in there since then,” Jordan wrote on Facebook.
“They felt that I had made enough progress to go home today. I am now on medication and feeling great. Things are really looking up and I am set on having the best possible future for my daughter and I.”
We sure are glad to hear that Jordan is doing well. Hopefully she is reunited with her daughter, Genevieve, soon!
Jordan Works As A Stripper & Parents Are Caring For Baby
It was back in March 2014 that Jordan and Derek welcomed their little girl into the world.
Five months after Genevieve was born, Jordan and Derek split. He then moved in with his grandparents, while Jordan and her infant daughter were taken in by her parents.
In August of the same year, it was revealed by The Ashley that Jordan had started working at a strip club in Baltimore, Maryland.
In a second report by the same outlet, it was revealed that Jordan got into a fight with another girl at the club which is what led her to her suicidal tendencies and hospital stay.
