Elena & Damon Reunited?
Damon headed straight to Elena’s and delivered her a speech only Damon could deliver, basically the moment he got home. We could see on Elena’s face that she wanted to see him and wanted to open to the door, but instead just spoke through the door. They even had a hand-against-door moment, which, could only be romantic for Delena. And the moment we were waiting for happened: she opened the door only a crack — enough for her to have time to jump out the window before he came in. Ugh.
After Alaric has to hear it from Damon for basically ruining his life, he makes one thing clear — he’ll give Elena her memories back if she wants them. But she doesn’t . . . at first. She finally agrees to see Damon face-to-face, but after he checks himself out in the mirror, Tripp shows up to Elena’s dorm to catch a vampire — and he gets Damon.
Vampire Hunters Takin’ Over
Naturally, it’s easy to blame Stefan (Paul Wesley) for this mess since . . . well, he turned Enzo (Michael Malarkey) in to Tripp (Colin Ferguson) and started this vamp hunt. Also because Caroline (Candice Accola) and Stefan are smack in the middle of their fight-until-they-angry-kiss phase. So we wait (forever). Anyways, Caroline, Elena, Alaric and Stefan know that Tripp is on his way to Mystic Falls with Damon and Enzo in the back, so they create road blocks.
While Elena and Caroline pop the tires of the car to create their road block, Elena realizes she wants her memories back about Damon so she can have the truth. However, instead of just popping their tires at their border, Alaric approaches Tripp while Stefan stays in the car. Tripp slams on the gas and crashes into Stefan, flipping the van over and sending everyone (but Stefan) into Mystic Falls.
WTF, Jo?
While Enzo, Damon and Alaric are all burning, Stefan plays hero and walks right through the pain — and pulls his brother and Enzo over to the other side. Luckily, crazy Jo (Jodi Lynn O’Keefe) is there to save Alaric — or kill him? Instead of pulling him over the boarder, she starts covering him with gauze and basically scolding him. This b—h is crazy! She waited so long that he went unconscious for a moment but then jumped back alive at the last minute.
Now Jo may be a witch — she can’t be compelled and Elena found out she’s not drinking vervain. Or she’s something else. But either way, she knows what both Alaric and Elena are. However, her little magic trick or however she saved Alaric, stripped him from all his magic. That’s right, he’s human again and now he can’t yet give Elena her feelings back.
He’s happy that he has his life back and whoop-di-doo, he and Jo can ride into the sunset but what about Delena?! Well, Elena is going to try her best to remember him herself. This week ended with her going through the box of her I-Love-Damon stuff and finally coming face-to-face with him. So this should be fun.
Caroline & Stefan: We Were Never Friends
Oh, and a little side note for those who were wondering, Steroline still didn’t happen. Stefan asked her at the very last moment what he could do to put all of the recent drama behind them and become friends again. We all were hoping she would tell him she wanted more than friends, but instead she told him she didn’t want to be friends at all. Ouch.
