On the morning of the midterm elections on Nov. 4, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon accidentally tweeted out a photo of a woman’s ENTIRE buttcrack. Geez. Did you get YOUR butt to the polls?
Poor Jay Nixon. Not only did the Governor of Missouri have to watch the Republican Party take over the Senate majority on Nov. 4, but he also had to deal with becoming the butt of many a joke when he tweeted a photo of a woman’s buttcrack on that fateful morning. Check it out — it’s pretty hilar.
Jay Nixon Tweets A Butt Photo On Midterm Election Day: Governor Of Missouri
The Governor (or his social media manager) took down the photo immediately, but “immediately” is far too late for the internet. Many Twitter users, including Valerie Schremp Hahn, grabbed a screenshot.
Jay (or, again, his social media manager) followed up with a photo of himself working with his constituents alongside a message urging them to go out and vote, but the damage had already been done.
Governor Jay Nixon: Don’t Worry — Anthony Weiner Will Always Have You Beat
Of course, while posting a photo of some poor woman’s entire buttcrack is not ideal, it’s certainly not the worst accidental tweet sent out by a politician. Seriously — these dudes need to take a lesson in social media management.
Never forget that fateful day in 2011 when Anthony Weiner tweeted out a photo of his… well. Weiner. He later admitted that he sent out explicit photos to six women over three years. Several more sexting-related scandals would follow over the years.
Take heart, Governor Nixon! There’s always Anthony Weiner (a.k.a. Carlos Danger) to make your scandal seem absolutely tame in comparison.
Of course, the question remains — if the photo had indeed been tweeted by the Governor himself, why was there a photo of a woman’s buttcrack on his phone in the first place? Not very becoming of a Governor. And if the photo was uploaded by a social media manager of some kind, are they OK?! Hope that person didn’t get fired! We all make mistakes, little buddy.
HollywoodLifers, you be the judge. Was this the fault of 58-year-old Governor Nixon or of some hapless social media manager? Finally, did you get your butt to the polls? Let us know!
