The ‘Are You The One’ house is getting cray-cray. After everyone was mismatched, all of the couples try new things and also run back to their old flames, which results in a serious never-ending love triangle. Jenni runs back to Anthony, but Layton is pining over Jenni, while Ellie is crushing on Anthony. Sound confusing? Read on for your full recap for some clarity.
Are You The One kicked off on a somber note this week, as the last episode proved that none of the couples — besides Paris and Pratt, who are off to the honeymoon suite — were a perfect match. That means that everyone who was seemingly happy together has to split, including Briana and Curtis!
‘Are You The One’: Jessica Freaks Out Over Her No-Match Layton
The entire house starts off pretty down in the dumps, in light of no lights matching up last week.
Jessica is freaking out that Layton isn’t hers. Literally freaking out, bawling crying.
Meanwhile, Briana says that she feels bad for all the other guys in the house because no one will make her feel like Curtis does. Christina and Brandon also share that same sentiment.
Curtis really seems to be the sounding board of the house. He calms down Jessica who just can’t get over the fact that Layton isn’t hers. (PS: they were never really together, am I right?) Curtis finally gets Jessica up and running to the next challenge when he tells her to “lace up her boots” — and she’s actually wearing lace-up boots. It’s kinda amazing.
As for the challenge, Dario wins! That seriously turns on the house virgin, Ashley who’s pissed when Dario selects Jenni for his date. “I mean, have you seen his butt?”
Paris & Pratt Enter The Honeymoon Suite
On the other side of the island, Paris and Pratt are in a complete la la land of love. The perfect match (they were matched up last week) arrive at the honeymoon suite.
“This is so real,” Paris says. “I’ve never been in love like this before.”
Pratt says that spending a few weeks in the honeymoon suite with his great girl is priceless. And then he gets right to business and starts “picking all the places [they’re] gonna bang.” (That’s a direct quote, people.)
Ellie Gets Her Flirt On With Anthony
“I do think Jenni got in the way,” Ellie says about her connection with “Ant” — that’s Anthony. (Seriously, this girl needs subtitles. Gotta love her.)
“I think Ellie’s great. She’s my favorite girl in the house. I love every bit of her,” Anthony confesses. “Is the physical attraction there? I think she’s very cute, but she’s not a girl I’m gonna go out of my way to try and hook up with just because I value the friendship that I have with her.”
The two get into a fight with Anthony insisting that he’s doing the right thing by staying friends with Ellie, but she just wants to take it to the next level. “I don’t want to be your f***ing best friend, Ant!” And then, she breaks down in tears.
Christina Freaks Out On Brandon
Brandon wins a date and takes Jasmine along with him. The pair make a strong connection and everything is fine and dandy, until Brandon admits his feelings for his new lady in front of Christina! You know, the Christina that he’s been head-over-heels in love with the entire time.
Christina is having none of it, and says that she’s d-o-n-e. She tells Ryan Delvin and her housemates that it’s like watching your “ex-boyfriend with his new girlfriend.”
And for whatever reason, Jessica gets involved. Seriously, this girl is always fighting with everyone!
Briana Breaks Down Over This Week’s Perfect Match: Curtis & Shelby
Since Curtis isn’t matched with Briana, he takes Shelby on his date, after he gets a winning spot from the challenge, and they hit it off, though Briana is still on his mind.
The house votes to send Shelby and Curtis into the truth booth, and….it’s a perfect match!
Briana breaks down into tears, and refuses to talk to Curtis who’s also feeling some serious sadness. “Walking back into the house, I have mixed emotions,” he says.
In his confessional, Curtis admits that he LOVES Briana. The two make a pact to keep their feelings for each other intact, symbolized by Curtis giving his lady his beads to hold onto, and then leaves with her without Shelby — like leaves her for the boom boom room. With Briana!
Another unmatched couple also heads into bed together: Jenni and Anthony! What the what?!
The Light Ceremony Gets Heated
During the beam ceremony, Jenni shares some very personal Anthony hookup information that makes Layton’s jaw drop. Layton has been pining after Jenni the entire episode, and they could still be a match, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens there.
“When you keep going back to someone who keeps making you look dumb, you look like an idiot,” Layton says, pointed toward Jenni. “We don’t need to sneak into a room to s**k someone’s d**k to have a good time.”
Ouch. That was harsh, but in all fairness, Jenni did say that herself.
Jessica, pissed that Layton is super over it (seriously this girl cannot take any signs), gets involved in another fight that’s none of her business (see, I told you!) and she starts screaming at Paris.
Then, pretty much everyone screams at Brandon who choses Jasmine as his perfect match.
The episode ends with Briana and Curtis making out again, and Shelby crying over her unperfectly-matched perfect match.
The final verdict? Only 3 out of 10 light matches.
HollywoodLifers, were you shocked that Shelby and Curtis are a perfect match? Do you think Briana and Curtis are meant to be? Should Christina be pissed at Brandon? Should Jenni stop hooking up with Anthony and jump ship over to Anthony? Which guy should Ellie end up with? Let us know!
