Ariana Grande is at the top of her game right now, so she’s being very careful and taking the appropriate steps to keep herself there. Movie scripts have been pouring in, but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that there’s only one type of movie Ariana’s interested in starring in!
Ariana Grande, 21, is very interested in starring in movies, but she doesn’t want to be cast in a flop like Mariah Carey‘s Glitter. Instead, the “Break Free” singer, who doesn’t want to lose focus on her music, wants to mirror her movie career after another super famous celebrity!
Ariana Grande Concert Movie: Singer Wants To Star In A Film Like Justin Bieber
“Ariana‘s focus is on her music right now — everyone wants to work with her. She has the chance to be this generation’s Britney Spears and as much as she wants to look into doing movies and other TV opportunities, she doesn’t want to do something that would be looked upon as a misstep,” our source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. (Think Mariah Carey’s Glitter, as we mentioned earlier.)
Ariana has an idea that will not only get her on the big screen, but keep the focus on her music career.
“She’ll do a movie, but it will be along the lines of Justin Bieber‘s trajectory, where she’ll do a concert film that’s also a documentary. She may do some acting here and there, but music is the goal right now,” our source adds.
Justin Bieber, One Direction and Katy Perry have all released movies, which are part-biopic, part-concert films and they were all commercially successful.
Ariana Grande Movie Roles — Singer Being Offered Parts In Films
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that some of the biggest producers in Hollywood are sending scripts Ariana’s way. And we don’t blame them! Ariana got her big break as an actress, starring in Nickelodeon’s Victorious, as well as Sam & Cat. It’s obvious that she has the chops to act. But we respect Ariana for sticking to what she’s passionate about — and that’s her music!
We do, however, believe Ariana can do it all. In our eyes, nothing she’ll ever do will be a misstep.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Ariana should star in her own movie? Tell us how you feel!
