Yikes. Is Kate Middleton being bullied by her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II? A new report claims that Kate may not be attending royal events because she feels better, but because she is being forced to.
Kate Middleton, 32, went into hiding for nearly two months during the first trimester of her pregnancy due to her severe morning sickness, caused by hyperemesis gravidarum. When the Duchess reappeared at a royal event in Oct. 2014, everyone assumed she was feeling better and getting back to her old self again. Unfortunately, a new report claims that is simply not true, and that it’s Queen Elizabeth II that pushed Kate out of hiding.
Kate Middleton Forced Into Working While Pregnant By The Queen
Is there family drama going on inside Buckingham Palace?
A new report by Life and Style magazine’s Nov. 10 issue claims that Queen Elizabeth had enough of Kate’s pregnancy sickness and bullied her into finally resuming her royal duties.
“The queen had been unimpressed with the amount of official business Kate has missed out on,” a source revealed to the magazine. “She feels enough is enough. Duty comes first, and it was time for Kate to step up the plate.”
If there is any truth to this at all, it is incredibly unfortunate to hear. Because of Kate’s hyperemesis gravidarum, her second pregnancy is not going smoothly at all. In fact, it is a miracle she found the strength to get out of bed once her first trimester ended in Oct. 2014.
Although Kate was all-smiles when she stepped out alongside her husband, Prince William, 32, on Oct. 21 to welcome the President of Singapore to town, she is only just starting to get back on her feet. As a woman herself, I sure hope that the queen can consider the health of her unborn great-grandchild.
Prince William Defended Kate To His Family
Thankfully, the future mother of two has her husband, Prince William, to rely on. A royal insider reveals that William always has Kate’s back, even when it means going up against his own family.
“William actually feels like she should have more bed rest,” the source explained. “Even if it’s against his grandmother’s wishes.”
The report continues to explain that William intervenes as much as he possibly can in the alleged drama between Kate and his grandmother.
“He’s just concerned about her and baby number two being healthy. He doesn’t want anything to jeopardize that.”
It’s nice to know that Kate has someone on her side, along with her own parents who are constantly present in their lives.
