Before Jaylen Fryberg shot himself and several of his classmates at just 15 years old, the Marysville-Pilchuk High School shooter appeared to have been unstable long before his rampage. His Twitter shows a series of tweets that may have predicted his future violent behavior. Read the shocking tweets below.
Just one day before the shooting, Jaylen ominously tweeted:
It won’t last…. It’ll never last….
— Jaylen Fryberg (@frybergj) October 23, 2014
He also seemed to indicate some measure of suicidal ideation in his Oct. 21 tweet:
If I just laid down….😖

On the same day, he appears to be responding to the reported recent breakup that set him off, as a classmate intimated to CNN:
Alright. You fuckin got me…. That broke me😔😤😫

Even more shocking were Jaylen’s violent tweets from August:
Your gonna piss me off… And then some shits gonna go down and I don’t think you’ll like it…😤😤😤
— Jaylen Fryberg (@frybergj) August 20, 2014

He also appeared angry with his ex-girlfriend, hinting that he was teetering on the edge:
Tell me what your plan is…. You can’t make a bond with anyone like the bond me and you have right now…. Tell me what your going to do…
— Jaylen Fryberg (@frybergj) August 20, 2014
Jaylen further revealed his tendency toward suicidal ideation in a tweet from this past June:

As of this writing, two have been confirmed dead and four wounded in Jaylen’s vicious attack. Jaylen was counted among the dead.
The shooting took place on the morning of Oct. 24, in the Marysville-Pilchuk High School cafeteria. Jaylen “came up from behind … and fired about six bullets into the backs” of the victims, an eyewitness told CNN.
“They were his friends, so it wasn’t just random.”
The eyewitness continued, revealing that Jaylen seemed “fine” at football practice the previous day, and “having a good time. “And then today, just horrible. I don’t know what went through his head or what caused him to do it.”
Our thoughts continue to go out to all those affected by this horrible tragedy.
