We all knew that Casey and Dawson wouldn’t be able to be friends-only at work — but did he just go too far? In the Oct. 21 episode, he takes a huge risk to help his fiancée. Watch the sneak peek of ‘Chicago Fire.’
When Dawson (Monica Raymund) has to take on a hard task during a fire, instead of assigning her mentor, Herrmann (David Eigenberg), to go with her, Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) assigns himself to the job. Whether it was to protect her or help her, his decision could totally put his job at risk.
‘Chicago Fire’: Casey Saves Dawson, Risks Job
Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is not going to like this.
While Dawson got through her first fire, it’s time for her to really put her skills to the test — and head to the roof of a super high building.
Usually, this is something her partner would be going with her for. However, in the new clip, we see that Casey assigns Herrmann elsewhere, saying he’ll take her to the roof.
Should the Lieutenant be scaling a building or should he be on the ground in charge?
Well, he makes that decision without consulting others — and I’m going out a limp here, but it’s safe to assume he went to protect his fiancée, even though he has to hide that they’re at all engaged.
In a clip on TVGuide.com, we also see that Boden is not happy. “Ok, can someone please tell me why our truck lieutenant is venturing the roof?” Boden asks Herrmann. He simply points up, to show the Chief who he’s with.
Can’t wait to see how this goes down! Tune in for full episode on Oct. 21 at 10PM on NBC.
