Paul Rudd is officially the coolest person ever! On Oct. 15, the ‘Anchorman’ actor invited Kansas City Royals fans back to his mom’s house after the team beat the Baltimore Orioles to secure their spot in the World Series.
The Kansas City Royals secured their spot in the World Series on Oct. 15, for the first time since 1985 and no one was more excited than Ant-Man actor, Paul Rudd, 45! In a hilarious interview post-win, Paul invited the Royals fans back to his mom’s house to celebrate saying, “It’s going to be sweet! Five dollar cover!”
Paul Rudd Royals Party — Invites Fans To His House After Win
Paul was so excited over the teams win that is voice had actually gone hoarse! The die-hard fan told KMBC after the game that he has felt the big win coming. “I know for the last several years, every year, all of us Royals fans we have the same hope. … When we went on that win streak this summer, it was like, this could legitimately happen,” he said.
“I’ve lost my voice, but I’ve lost my voice at just about every game since the Wild Card,” he continued. ” (Tonight’s win) was amazing. This entire town feels it.”
He was then asked where he is planning to celebrate the big win. “I’m going to be partying at my mom’s house!” he hilariously joked. “Party at my mom’s, man. She’s out of town; I’ve got a keg. It’s going to be sweet! Five dollar cover!”
Paul told the Kansas City Star, “We still have the World Series to go, and even to say that sentence, ‘We still have the World Series to go,’ is amazing.” He continued gushing, “But wow, what a postseason it’s been,” he said. “After that Wild Card Game, it’s just been a rollercoaster.”
The actor revealed that he had been given special permission to leave the Ant-Man set in Georgia and is hoping he will be able to attend the World Series as well.
“Now I’m going to pray that they can somehow let me go,” he said. “The higher powers make those decisions. I’d love to. We’ll see. I hope so. Even if it’s just one, I’m going to try and get here.”
Fingers crossed that Paul will be able to attend the games and hopefully his mom will allow him to host a party for real!
