How sad. While out with her family for some holiday fun, a little girl was killed instantly when a shuttle bus slammed into her and her mother.
Ella Fuehring, 2, and her mother, Sarah Fuehring, decided to spend their Sunday afternoon pumpkin-picking before Halloween arrived. Sadly, neither one of them were able to pick out their pumpkins of choice, because a tragic accident left them pinned between two buses in the busy parking lot.
Girl, 2, Crushed To Death In Between 2 Buses At Pumpkin-Picking
This is such a terrible tragedy.
On Sunday, Oct. 12, Ella and Sarah took a trip to Alstede Farm in Chester, New Jersey with a family friend to spend the afternoon pumpkin-picking.
However, when they arrive, they realized that the farm was too crowded and decided to leave. Ella, her mom Sarah, and their friend, Joanna Alemany, were standing in front of a shuttle bus when another one slammed into them. They were pinned in between the buses, and then Ella and Sarah found themselves laying on the ground in agony, reports the Daily Mail.
Sadly, little Ella did not survive the impact.
“I cannot close my eyes without seeing it happen again and again. I keep seeing Sarah’s face when she realized. My heart is so broken,” Joanna said during an interview from her hospital bed.
The accident left Ella’s mom, Sarah, with a crushed femur, and Joanna with a crushed pelvis. Thankfully, both are expected to survive the accident.
Sarah’s community has rallied together in hopes of raising enough money to cover Ella’s funeral costs. Thanks to the GoFundMe page they set up, over $33k has been raised as of Oct. 14. They only asked for $7k.
Our thoughts go out to Ella, Sarah, and Joanna’s family and friends during this very difficult time.
