Stephen Collins, 67, is in the middle of a nasty divorce from wife Faye Grant, 57. In a couples therapy session, Faye allegedly recorded Stephen confessing to a number of counts of child molestation in a totally calm and collected manner. The NYPD is currently investigating the devastating claims, reports TMZ.
In the audio obtained by TMZ and which is purportedly of Stephen (it certainly sounds like him), the actor confesses to molesting an 11-year-old girl in New York — a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman.
“There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis,” says Stephen. He also admits that he exposed himself to her “a couple of times” from the ages of 11 to 13.
He also talks about a girl in Los Angeles, to whom he tried to apologize years later. Then, Stephen talks about another girl in New York who was 12 or 13 at the time. This is so devastating for these poor girls.
Stephen allegedly first confessed his crimes to Faye back in 2012. Her divorce lawyer advised that she tape his confessions in therapy and that it would be perfectly legal in California due to the severity of the crime in question, reports TMZ. Given that the girls were under 14, Stephen’s alleged acts are violent felonies.
The NYPD are actively investigating — two officers from the Special Victims Unit flew to LA to speak to Faye, and a source at the NYPD revealed to TMZ that there are at least three victims. One of the victims — the relative of Stephen’s first wife — stepped forward in 2012.
When a then-17-year-old Jessica Biel posed topless on the cover of Gear in 2000, her TV dad Stephen called it “child pornography.”
Stephen has most recently starred in Revolution, but along with the seven children he fathered as Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, he also interacted with underage actors on The Fosters, No Ordinary Family, and more.
