‘RHOA’: Porsha Williams Demoted Over Kenya Moore Fight? — The Truth

‘RHOA’ announced their new cast for Season 7 on Oct. 1, but one lady was missing: Porsha Williams! The former full-time housewife was demoted to a part-time cast member and won’t be featured as much as Kenya Moore. Was Porsha’s role cut because of her violent fight on the reunion? An insider tells us the truth, and it might shock you.

Porsha Williams may never live down the day she hit Kenya Moore on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Season 6 reunion, but is the smack down the reason she was bumped down when new housewife Claudia Jordan joined the cast? HollywoodLife.com knows exactly why Porsha was demoted, plus, how much she’ll be featured in the new episodes.

Porsha Williams Demoted On Season 7 Because Her Life Is Boring

Turns out, Porsha wasn’t cut because of her fight with Kenya. The real reason she was demoted is simply because her life just isn’t very interesting anymore.

“There just wasn’t enough storyline with her,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Not enough access, not enough storyline.”

Our source points out that the new cast members — full-time housewife Claudia and part-timer Demetria McKinney — offer more than Porsha, and that’s very clear to see in the new, dramatic promo for Season 7.

Although Kenya and Porsha get after it in the trailer, we’ve learned that while they’re obviously “not best buds,” their frenemy relationship is just not a huge focus of the season. “They try to work things out, but it’s not like anything really new. They co-exist.”

The decision to bump down Porsha was not made immediately, but after seeing how juicy the newbies and returning members Cynthia BaileyKandi Burruss, Kenya MoorePhaedra Parks and NeNe Leakes were, producers made the choice to trim her part.

While Porsha likely won’t be featured in every single episode, our source adds that the season is still shooting and “she will definitely be in there quite a bit.”

Porsha Williams: Is She Upset That She Was Demoted?

So is Porsha angry that Kenya kept her star status, while she was cut?

“Oh, you bet, but she’s got to keep face,” another insider close to Porsha EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “She’s not to speak of it, but yes, she’s mad. She didn’t want to go out this way.”

If you’re wondering why she didn’t just quit, the answer is plain and simple. “She likes being in front of the cameras and on television, and she’s open to every opportunity that should come here way.”

Porsha also released a statement, claiming she was “blindsided” by the news.

Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Sunday, November, 9th (8/7c) on Bravo.
