Well, it’s decided. A royal source has revealed that if Kate Middleton and Prince William welcome a girl this time around, that she will definitely be named after the late, great Princess Diana.
Kate Middleton, 32, is pregnant with the second royal baby. Now, a report claims that Prince William, 32, and his wife, already have plans to honor his mother by naming the baby after Princess Diana if it happens to be a little girl. How sweet!
Kate Middleton & Prince William To Name Second Baby After Princess Diana
Wow, this is such exciting royal baby news!
According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge discussed girl baby names long before Prince George was even born.
Now, their hopes are high that their second child, whom Kate is currently carrying, is a girl — because they have the name Elizabeth Diana picked out for her!
“They discussed girls’ names before George was born and now they’re hoping the next one is a girl so they can carry out their wish to honour William’s mother. They’re not too thrilled at the thought it will be shortened to Princess Di. But it won’t change their minds,” the author said, reports Daily Mail.
The report also states that the decision to name their daughter Elizabeth Diana as opposed to Diana Elizabeth is to appease the masses. The couple feared there would be backlash for putting Diana first, especially due to all of the alleged “hostility” between her and her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.
Kate Will Resume Royal Duties Very Soon
