It’s official, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are legally married! On Sept. 29, the couple said their ‘I do’s’ inside Venice’s town hall where they held a short civil ceremony!
Congratulations George Clooney, 53, and Amal Alamuddin, 36! After an incredible weekend and an extremely gorgeous and lavish wedding on Sept. 27, the couple went to Venice’s town hall for a short civil ceremony on Sept. 29, to make their union official!

George looked extremely handsome wearing a two-piece gray suit with sunglasses while Amal chose to wear a chic white pantsuit with matching hat to the ceremony.
E! News reports that, “The couple arrived at the municipal building at 1:25 p.m. local time.” The couple was then escorted inside by a local politician to sign their marriage papers. The site reports that just 10 minutes later the newlyweds emerged from the hall and looked, “ecstatic as they held hands and kissed.”
A local city council press person confirmed to the site that, “the ink was on the paper, finalized, at about 1:30. The rest was just happiness and joy.”
After their short ceremony, The Clooneys got back on a boat and reportedly headed slowly back up the canal. An eyewitness told the site, “Fans were going wild! People were running alongside the banks.”

Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor is officially off the market! What a beautiful and special wedding weekend this couple had. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, guests started to arrive to their destination wedding on Sept. 26.
That night, the couple headed out separately with their friends to celebrate their bachelor and bachelorette parties. Us Weekly reported that Amal and her friends headed to Aman Resort for a private dinner. A source told the site, “They dined on the second floor. There were candles on a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Gondolas were parked up outside the venue, and one of the gondoliers even serenaded them from the water!”
George and his friends headed to his favorite restaurant, Da Ivo. A source told the site that the party did not leave until 12:30 a.m and that, “There was a crowd of well-wishers who cheered loudly when George came out. He flashed a beaming smile and saluted everyone who was there, it was very sweet.”
The next day on Sept. 27, the couple swapped vows in a gorgeous ceremony that was officiated by the former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni. George wore a gray Armani suit for the nuptials and it was attended by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including, Matt Damon, Bono,John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour and Ellen Barkin!
