While Jordin Sparks has yet to formally speak out about her split from Jason Derulo, the ‘Wiggle’ singer has opened up once again, this time in a lengthy statement slamming cheating rumors.
We hadn’t really thought or heard that Jason Derulo, 25, had been cheating on Jordin Sparks, 24, until he so vehemently denied it! In a new statement, Jason slams reports that infidelity led to their breakup, continuing to claim that their split was amicable while Jordin remains conspicuously silent.
Jason Derulo Cheated On Jordin Sparks? Slams Infidelity Rumors In New Statement
“Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment,” Jason told ABC News on Sept. 26.
“I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part,” he said, echoing an earlier statement he made on Minneapolis radio station KDWB, claiming that “everything is cool” and that their breakup was not “a bad situation.”
“Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.”
Jordin Sparks & Jason Derulo: Was Their Split Really Amicable?
As HollywoodLife.com previously learned EXCLUSIVELY, success got to Jason’s head. While he did, at one time, consider spending the rest of his life with Jordin, he couldn’t shake the thought that if they married and split, she would be leaving with his money. The fact that her career has plateaued while Jason’s has rocketed made him nervous, and he was fruitlessly hoping that she would be the Beyonce to his Jay Z. So sad!
This is the second time that Jason has spoken out, while Jordin has remained mum save for a tweet which read: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Could the split really have been all that amicable when Jason has felt the need to speak out publicly twice, while Jordin has opted for privacy?
HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Could their split truly have been amicable? Does Jason protest too much? Let us know.
