Chelsea Clinton, 34, is officially a mommy. The former first daughter and her investment banker husband, Marc Mezvinsky, just welcomed their first child together after being married for four years. Congrats to the Clinton-Mezvinsky family!
The one and only daughter of former president Bill Clinton, and (hopefully) future president Hillary Clinton, has just become a mom!
“Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky,” the first-time mom wrote on Twitter just after 12am on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The announcement comes just days after her father, Bill, told Good Morning America that he hoped his grandchild “to get up every day and look at the world with wonder and reverence.”
Congrats again to Chelsea and Marc, and of course even more congrats to grandma and grandpa Clinton!
Even though this is very exciting news for the Clinton family and the world, there are some things to be concerned about now that Chelsea’s baby has been born.
For instance, Hillary has said in the past that becoming a grandmother could ultimately make or break her decision to run for office in 2016.
In June 2014, everyone’s favorite choice for the first female president revealed in an interview that she wants to “live in the moment” — and it’s all thanks to the news of her future grandchild. However, she also mentioned that she knows she has a decision to make — so hopefully that decision is made very, very soon.
