Gwyneth Paltrow, 41, is in big trouble with the school principal. A report claims that the actress and her estranged husband, Chris Martin, 37, came under fire for bringing their children to school on the back of individual Vespa scooters after almost causing an accident outside of the school during their gridlock hours.
Talk about a slap on the wrist!
In an effort to avoid the long line of cars during drop-off and pick-up hours at their kids’ school, Gwyneth and her ex, Chris, reportedly started using Vespa scooters to transport their two children, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, to-and-from school.
However, a PageSix report claims that after picking up one of the children, Gwyneth quickly zipped out into traffic in front of the school and cut off a bus filled with children — nearly causing a tragic accident.
“The scooters had been convenient for zipping around Los Angeles traffic, and dropping the kids off at school without having to wait with other parents and kids in the car-pool line. But after Gwyneth was photographed on the Vespa pulling out in front of a bus, school chiefs reprimanded her and said they’d rather she and Chris didn’t bring the kids to school on scooters,” a source explained, although the school itself declined to comment.
However, a rep for Gwyneth told the outlet that the story was “not true” and that it was actually the previous school year (2013-14) when Gwyneth and Chris “occasionally” used scooters to transport their children to school.
Yes, it’s true — Apple and Moses ride a big yellow school bus to-and-from school these days.
In Sept. 2014 Gwyneth stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live for an interview, which was when she revealed that her two children are just like everyone else.
“Actually, this is their first year on the bus. They take the bus and then I pick them up at the bus stop. It’s pretty cute.”
Gwyneth even shared that this new change has made her children feel “independent” as they wrap up their last few years in elementary school. Before Gwyneth and Chris know it, Apple and Moses will be headed into the big leagues — junior high!
