Miley Cyrus continues her fascination with all things ’60s with a cover of a song popularized by Led Zeppelin. Listen to Miley’s cover of ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’ below!
Miley Cyrus, 21, has once again proved her musical talent with a cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.” With her psychedelic outfits of late, Miley is basically a walking tribute to the 1960s — and we kinda love it! You do you, Miley. Check out the cover below — you might be surprised by how much you like it!
Miley Cyrus’ Led Zeppelin Cover Of ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’ Is Great — Listen
Here’s Miley’s version of the late ’50s classic originally sung by Anne Bredon as a folk song and popularized by Led Zeppelin in 1969 (use a light hand with your volume level, however — there’s some screaming):
Miley tweeted out the link to her 18.5 million followers on Sept. 13, and for all the hate she receives about the choices she makes in her personal life, you have to admit — the cover’s not bad! Once you strip away all of the gimmicks, Miley is a very talented singer.
Miley Cyrus Has Covered A Ton Of Musical Classics, And Incredibly Well
The “Wrecking Ball” singer has covered a ton of musical classics — while she’s probably best known for her gorgeous cover of Dolly Parton‘s “Jolene,” she has also covered Bob Dylan‘s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” and even a cover of Lana Del Rey‘s “Summertime Sadness” which is arguably better than the original. Really!
That’s only the tip of the iceberg — she has also recently covered The Smiths‘ “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out,” and even her 2007 version of Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is a delight.
Haters can hate, but haters can sit down — Miley might not be your jam, but she’s a pretty fantastic singer. (And no, a pop artist covering a musical classic does not hurt the original, so really, settle down.)
Next, Miley will cover Leonard Cohen‘s 1988 classic “I’m Your Man,” according to an Instagram post from Sept. 4.
