Deaf Baby Boy Hears Parents Voices For The First Time In Sweet Video
This may just be the cutest thing you have ever seen the internet. Forget the cats, pigs, and ALS Ice Bucket Challenge “fails” — this baby wins top viral honors!
On Aug. 31, Toby Lever uploaded video of his 7-week-old son, Lachlan, getting his first hearing aids put in.
“Our beautiful son Lachlan was diagnosed as having moderate to severe hearing loss in both ears. When he was 7 weeks old he received his first hearing aids,” Toby captioned the video, which now has over 4 million views. “His reaction when they were turned on was truly amazing. We cried from happiness.”
And yes, you will cry from happiness too when you see little Lachlan go from crying to smiling once he hears his mommy and daddy talking to him for the first time.
As the doctor is putting in the hearing aid, a clearly uncomfortable Lachlan squirms and cries. It’s only when the hearing aid is turned on that he realizes he can hear, and his reaction is absolutely priceless.
Lachlan seems particularly happy when he hears his father say a quick “hello” for the first time!
According to the video’s caption, it was taken in 2012. Toby also gave an update on Lachlan, writing, “Our beautiful little boy is now two years old and doing remarkably well.”
Great news all around!
