Season 9 is starting to wind down! America’s Got Talent returned on Sept. 3 for another elimination show, and was full of emotions as six of the twelve acts were sent through to the finals, while the remaining performers were sent home. Read below to find out if your favorite made the top 12!
‘America’s Got Talent’ — 6 Acts Are Sent Through To Top 12
Then it was time to move on to find out who would be making it through to the top 12, and who would sadly have to pack their bags and head home.
Acroarmy and Baila Conmigo were the first two acts of the night to have their fate decided. Unfortunately for the huge dance troop, Acroarmy was sent through to the next round, and they couldn’t stop smiling!
Cello duo, Emil and Dariel, comedian Wendy Liebman, and singer Kelli Glover were all called up next. After an excessively long pause, Nick Cannon announced that the rocker bothers would be making it through.
Magician, Mat Franco and musician, Jonas Smith were called up next to find out their fate. The incredible talented and fan favorite, Mat was sent through to the next round! He was so adorable while saying a few words, and even got choked up. Mel B, 39, only had positive things to say about his act even saying, ” you are pretty cute to top it all off.”
More Heartbreaking Goodbyes And Top 12 Celebrations
12-year-old Quintavious Johnson and Jaycob Curlee both have amazing voices, but only one could be sent through to the top 12. The golden boy was sent through and even gave a little shriek when his name was called. Heidi Klum, 41, told Quintavious, ” you deserve it. Your voice is amazing, and so is your stage presence.”
Finally it was all down to the final three acts, Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev and Smoothini. Right away America decided, and the animation dance duo, Blue Journey was sent on to the top 12.
With just one spot left, it all came down to whether or not the judges felt that the amazing balancing act and his dog, Scooby deserved to go through, or the magical talents of Smoothini. Christian had been a favorite early on in the show, but his performance on Sept. 2, was not the judges favorite. Meanwhile Smoothini gave his best performance the night before, but he has not been the strongest contender throughout the show. It was definitely a tough call for the four judges!
Make sure to tune in next Tuesday when the top 12 are joined by The Muppets!
