Years after expressing his interest in playing Spider-Man, Donald Glover is finally getting a chance to put his spidey senses to good use! The actor is set to play the iconic characters’ alter-ego, Miles Morales, on Disney’s animated cartoon series, ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors.’

Donald Glover, 30, is getting a chance to portray one of the most beloved superheroes of all time! The Community actor is set to portray Peter Parker’s alter-ego, Miles Morales, in an upcoming episode of Disney XD‘s animated series, Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors! Read below for all the details!

Donald Glover Spider-Man

According to USA Today, “The new season of Disney XD’s animated series Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors will take Peter Parker through various parallel worlds, including one where he meets Miles Morales, his half-Hispanic, half-black counterpart, voiced by Glover.”

Spider-Man himself will be voiced by Drake & Josh star, Drake Bell.

The site reports, “In 2011, Miles was introduced to comic-book readers in Marvel Comics’ Ultimate Spider-Man series by Brian Michael Bendis, after the writer saw Glover’s Twitter campaign to play Spidey in a live-action movie — and witnessed Glover dressed up in Spidey pajamas on the NBC sitcom Community.”

Pretty cool to have your own character created after you! Donald agreed, and said, “I don’t think it’s hit me necessarily yet how big of a deal that is. I’m very grateful for that, and it’s cool to read the comic now.”

Make sure to check out Donald in action when the season premieres on Sunday, Aug, 31, at  (9 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD!

Childish Gambino Disses Drake & Kendrick Lamar

Donald’s acting career is not the only thing that is taking off and creating headlines! As previously reported, on July 27, the rapper had some not so nice things to say about fellow artists, Drake, 27, and Kendrick Lamar, 27, during his concert in Australia!

He told the crowd, “I’m the best rapper, definitely Top 5,” he said. “I cut their head off, that’s every rapper living. That’s Kendrick, that’s Drake, that’s Schoolboy, that’s everyone. I don’t give a f**k. I’ll f**king kill you n**gas.”

Wow pretty harsh words! We wonder what Drake and Kendrick Lamar think about the straight forward diss!
