Miley Cyrus Crying At The VMAS — Was This The Best Moment Of The Show?

Mon, August 25, 2014 6:37pm EST by 5 Comments

The 2013 MTV VMAs were all about Miley and her twerking but this year she actually let a young man named Jesse, accept her award and raise awareness for youth homelessness. But this was just one of many amazing moments, at one point Beyonce and Jay Z kissed, putting to rest their split rumors. HollywoodLifers, what was your favorite VMA moment?

Miley Cyrus opted for a sentimental moment when accepting Video Of The Year, Beyonce brought down the house with a 16-minute medley and Ariana Grande held hands backstage with Big Sean! But these were just some of the biggest moments from the show and we can’t decide which is the ultimate one, that’s why we need your help.

Miley Cyrus At The VMAS — Was Her Crying The Best Moment Of The Show

Our jaws dropped to the floor as we watched Beyonce grind on the stripper pole, while her husband Jay Z and daughter, Blue Ivy, sat in the audience.

But this moment came at the very end of the show. Before that, there were tons of amazing moments. You had Miley’s poignant moment with Jesse, but then there was Katy Perry who opted to dress like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake from the 2001 AMAs. It was absolutely epic!

Then there was Jim Carrey making jokes onstage with Jeff Daniels — it was a Dumb and Dumber flashback!

Who Stole The Show At The MTV VMAs?

In our Aug. 25, HollywoodLife Says, our editor-in-chief, Bonnie Fuller, said it had to be when Beyonce and Jay Z shared that emotional kiss. It came after weeks of speculation that the two plan on breaking up when their, On The Run tour is over in September. But our news editor, Emily Longeretta, couldn’t stop talking about Ariana and Big Sean’s major PDA backstage. Then our TV editor, Elizabeth Wagmeister, thought it was pretty cool of Miley to give the mic to Jesse, to make a plea for people to pay more attention to what’s going on in their own backyards, especially when it comes to homeless youth in LA.

It was an awesome show but now we want to know what you thought!

HollywoodLifers, what do you think was the best moment from the show?

Best moment of the show for sure!!! The worst moment for me was Beyonnce performance which was just to long and not that good. I thought Taylors was better and that is saying something because we all know she cannot sing live to save her life!!!

It was.

I dont even know about this real problema til last night.

But what she is doing now is real. I think the show was a mess. Bad perfomances. So boring. But this was great as hell.

However. I love Miley. She cannot be a role model but shes a good person and you know that.

I must say this was the best moment of the show. The best thing to be seen was that she came with her friend Jesse to accept award on her behalf to raise the issue of homeless teens in L.A.

Jesse’s speech – “My name is Jesse and I’m accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth who are starving lost and scared right now. I know this because I am one of these people,” left audience in teary-eyed.
