It wouldn’t be an award show without some sort of wardrobe malfunction or flub. This time, it was Gwen Stefani’s pronunciation of ‘The Colbert Report’ — and it turned into an Adele Dazeem moment all over again!
Gwen Stefani took the stage at the 66th Annual Emmy Awards with Adam Levine to present the award for Best Variety Series, but she didn’t rehearse the names of the shows before! When naming Stephen Colbert‘s The Colbert Report as the winner, she totally mispronounced his last name, like she had never heard it before. Watch it here!
Gwen Stefani’s Emmys Flub
“She said it wrong so there must be a mistake,” Jimmy said while trying to accept the award instead of Stephen. People were immediately writing that it was the “Adele Dazeem” of the night, referencing John Travolta‘s mishap at the 2014 Oscars when introducing Idina Menzel.
Comedians and celebs took toTwitter to comment on the mishap:
Gwen Stefani ain’t no holla the name right girl. #Emmys2014

Did Gwen S just have a mini Jon Travolta moment? #adeledazeem

Of course within minutes there was a Vine of the mishap — which you can watch right below:
What did you think of Gwen’s flub? Was it as bad as John Travolta‘s “Adele Dazeem” moment? Or was it not that bad at all? Let us know!
