A special episode of ‘Teen Wolf’ aired on Aug. 24, but that didn’t change up the drama whatsoever. New secrets were revealed about the dead pool, including how Peter is involved.
Teen Wolf’s midseason finale is right around the corner and it’s going to be epic. On the Aug. 24 episode, Scott (Tyler Posey) and the gang faced off against major foes, Lydia (Holland Roden) discovered Meredith’s surprising connection with another character and the dead pool (hopefully) came to a close!
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Gearing Up For A Fight
Oh hey, it’s that werewolf from the rival team. It was raining, so you know something’s going down. Brett started chasing after a girl and they ended up in the middle of the field. All the lights turned on around them. It was pretty scary.
Brett told the girl to close her eyes because he legit thought they were going to die.
But have no fear, Kira was there to save the day!
Meanwhile, Scott was going after those nasty assassins who, you know, wanted to kill him and all his friends. Scott was all ready to go, but Liam was a little hesitant. Liam was still new to the whole hero complex. He wasn’t so sure he was ready, so Scott took him home. Adorbs.
Stiles still had a concussion from getting punched by Brunski, and Mama McCall wasn’t going to let him leave the hospital. The last time he had a head injury, it didn’t turn out so well. But hey, he had Lorraine Martin’s video tape, so at least he would stay busy.
Kira and Scott met up and they kissed up a storm! After an episode-less Kira, Scott and Kira just couldn’t wait to reunite. However, she needed to introduce him to some new friends. She led him to Sakomi, Brett and countless others.
“Are we safe here?” one of them asked.
Um, no. You’re in Beacon Hills.
Scott said they were going to need help and boy did they.

Even though they were on rough waters, Malia stopped by the hospital to see Stiles. She told him about how her, Scott and Liam almost got set on fire and he asked her if she was OK.
After a semi-awkward moment, Malia got ready to leave.
“You don’t have to,” Stiles said. (#DYING.)
Malia and Stiles couldn’t physically go anywhere anyway. The door was locked. This provided Stiles with the perfect opportunity to apologize for lying to her.
“You hate me?” Stiles asked.
“I like you, Stiles. I like you a lot,” Malia said.
“I can work with that,” Stiles replied. (SO CUTE!)
Stalia kissed and made up and the door magically unlocked. (Side-eye anyone?)
Chris Argent showed up at one of his secret plants to find Scott and his new gang of merry friends. Any and all supernatural creatures were not save in Beacon Hills. The dead pool list put a permanent bullseye on their heads. Chris warned Scott that “they” were coming for him. All Stiles said he needed were answers from Meredith. We would see about that.
Scott called Derek in for backup. Derek was 100% done being afraid for his life. He was ready to create a new dead pool with all the killers listed. Sounds like a good plan, Der.
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: It All Comes Down To Corruption
Lydia finally got her chance to talk to Meredith. Meredith said all she ever wanted to do was help. She was ready to help now, but would only talk to one person — Peter.
Naturally, Sheriff, Parrish and Lydia brought Peter in to see Meredith. When she finally started talking, Meredith said “they’re all gone.” Lydia realized that this wasn’t the first time Peter and Meredith had met before. However, Peter didn’t seem to think so.
He grabbed Meredith’s neck and they succumbed to some sort of trance. Meredith gasped for air and starting mumbling things only Lydia could hear. Meredith was in the same hospital as Peter after the Hale fire. During her stay, their minds were linked. Everything could hear every thought in Peter’s head. Everything.
Peter was an angry wolf and told Meredith that he was going to hire people to kill for him as retribution. He dropped a few killer’s names, including the Desert Wolf. (What?!) He said he would start with professionals and make the dead pool list.
Peter believed everyone would want a chance to kill because everyone can be corrupted by money.
Stiles and Malia decided to head to Lydia’s lake house to find some answers. As they were listening to that weird record in that freaky panic room, Malia heard something. Something spinning. They realized that Lorraine and Brunski weren’t at Eichen House when the tape was made — they were at the lake house, which meant that something was on the other side of the wall. Stiles pulled the cord out from the wall and just kept going. On the other side were recorders.
It was the dead pool!
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: There’s Something About Peter
Over in Scott’s territory, gunfire erupted. It was like a SWAT team. Bullets were flying everywhere. Brace yourselves, guys. Scott, Kira, Chris and the others battled it out for their lives.
At the police station, Sheriff Stilinksi was ready to pull the trigger on Peter. Peter said he couldn’t be blamed for his involvement. Those words with ravings of a lunatic and he was much healthier now. (Okay, sure.)
Was Peter really into stealing his own money? That didn’t sound like a bright idea.
Lydia told everyone to calm down. After all, there were three people still on the dead pool in the room — Meredith, Parrish and herself.
Peter began taunting Stilinski about keeping him at the station. How would Stilinski explain the dead pool list to normal, everyday Americans? (He couldn’t.)
As Peter left, Meredith yelled, “It’s not finished.” What could that mean?
After supposedly finding the dead pool, Stiles and Malia tried to figure out what to do next. They called Lydia for help. Maybe they needed a key. When they called Lydia, she wanted to see the floor. The wine stain from previous episodes was no longer there. It wasn’t wine. Lydia thought that there was something inside the bottle.
She was right. There was a key! Stiles turned the key. Dun dun dun. The dead pool stopped spinning.
That random girl was thisclose to dying before Scott came to her rescue. He took care one of those nasty assassins. Just as Scott was about to finish him off, he stopped. (Also, does Scott’s face look funny or what? Maybe I missed something.)
The guy got a text. “All contracts terminated,” the message read. WUT.
Is it really over? Finally? After all this time? I’m a little hesitant.
Meredith finally revealed why she had to put her name on the dead pool list. She had heard Lydia’s screams at Oak Creek and knew it was time to start over.
However, Meredith believed that she was a full-fledged monster.
“We’re the monsters. Even banshees. You and me,” Meredith told Lydia.
“I don’t believe that. Not all monsters do monstrous things,” Lydia replied.
Meredith wanted to know who wasn’t a monster. Lydia mentioned Scott and Meredith freaked.
Kate assured Peter that everything was going according to plan. When asked whether he wanted to bail on his plan, Peter said, “Not when I’m this close.”
“Not when I’m this close to killing Scott McCall,” he said.
Buckle up, y’all. It’s coming down to Peter vs. Scott. Are you ready?
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Teen Wolf? What did you think of Peter’s involvement in the creation of the dead pool? Are you glad Stiles and Malia reunited? Let us know!
