After hearing the news of Nick and Mariah’s split, our first thought was, ‘what about the kids?’ Thankfully, it appears as though Roc and Roe are being showered with lots of love during this tough time. See the cute pic Mariah posted!
Breakups are always sad, but when kids are involved, it automatically becomes more upsetting. Mariah Carey, 44, and her husband of 6 years, Nick Cannon, 33, have officially separated, and with their twins, 3-year-old Moroccan and Monroe, caught in the middle, we were heartbroken to hear the news. Luckily, mama Mariah seems to be making sure they’re feeling the love.
Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey Split — Singer Posts Cute Pic Of Twins On Instagram
After six years of marriage, we can’t imagine it’s easy for Mariah and Nick to deal with this separation, especially considering all the public scrutiny. They’re both in our thoughts, along with, of course, their babies.
Speaking of babies, we were so happy to see Mariah post an adorable photo (seen above) of the two M’s to her Instagram account on the morning of Aug. 22. In the precious pic, Moroccan and Monroe are seen hugging each other tightly. The caption reads, “Friends forever!!!! #breakfastmoments.” So cute!
Mariah’s rep told Us Weekly, “I don’t comment on Mariah’s personal life,” her rep said, “but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour.”
Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon’s Divorce Will Be Messy
While it’s great to see Mariah spending quality time with her kids, HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that the divorce situation is not as pretty as this recent picture.
Nick and Mariah have different settlements in mind and it’s creating a major clash, our source revealed.
“All he’s really after is the safety net for the children and to walk away with what he brought into the marriage and half of what they earned together as a married couple,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
However, “[Mariah] wants it all. Even what they made together and Nick’s not having that. So, he’s prepared for the battle,” our source explains.
Let’s hope this drama doesn’t descend on the children, and they stay just as happy as they seem to be in this adorable photo.
