Benedict Cumberbatch, 38, is the latest celebrity to take the plunge and get soaked for a good cause. Since he was nominated to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge more than once, the actor gets doused multiple times, and is even seen butt-naked in the shower! Read on to find out who Benedict nominated to take the challenge!

Hands down, Benedict is the winner! We have seen it all, from Justin Bieber, 20, taking the challenge twice, to Kristen Stewart, 24, using “dirty bathwater,” celebrities have really embraced the challenge and helped to donate the over $31.5 million that has been raised so far.

In the actors hilarious video he is seen sitting calmly, ready to accept the challenge after being nominated by fellow actor, Tom Hiddelston. However, being always unique, Benedict decided that it is only right that since he has been nominated more than once, that several buckets of water be doused on his head — not to mention at unexpected times!

The best part of the video has to be that every time he is hit with the water, his priceless reaction is shown in slow motion.  At one point, the actor is completely naked in the shower, when someone sneaks up on him and thrown the freezing water on him, naturally in true Cumberbatch fashion, he is perfect and always hilarious.

More Celebrities Take The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

At the end of the video, Benedict nominates his famous friends, Harvey Weinstein, Kylie Minogue and race car driver Lewis Hamilton.

Aside from encouraging viewers of his challenge to donate to ALS he is also an ambassador for Motor Neurone Disease Association, and encourages donations to be made to MND as well.

Corey Griffin: ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Co-Founder Dies At 27

While the challenge has swept across the nation, Corey Griffin, one of the co-founders of the challenge tragically drowned on Aug. 16, at the age of 27.

Corey Griffin: Honored By Moving Tribute

Just two days after his death, FOX 25 Boston reported that between 1,200 and 1,500 Granite Telecommunications employees gathered in Quincy, Massachusetts for the largest ALS Ice Bucket Challenge ever.

As previously reported, the event had already been organized prior to Corey’s passing, but was quickly changed to honor him, and pay tribute to his amazing contribution to raising awareness for ALS.

Corey Griffin: Friends Remember Ice Bucket Challenge Co-Founder After Death

On Aug. 21, those closest to Corey gathered together to say their final goodbyes, and shared what a great and loving man he was. His childhood friend, Anthony Aiello told the Boston Globe, “I’ve never seen him happier than he was in his last few days. Corey was always happy, and that was easy to see, but in the last couple of weeks he was telling his family that everything was falling into place. Of his 27 years, I’d say the last few weeks were the best.”

Corey clearly was a special person who was beloved by all who knew him. The co-founder got the idea for the ice bucket challenge after his good friend, Pete Frates was diagnosed with ALS in 2012. Corey was inspired to help his friend and raise awareness for the disease.

Our thoughts go out to Corey’s loved ones during this difficult time.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Who would you like to see take the challenge next? Have you donated?! Let us know below!
