Now that Nick Cannon has confirmed that he and wife Mariah Carey are living separately, HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE truth about his rumored cheating.
Mariah Carey, 44, and Nick Cannon, 33, have been battling rumors of a split for months now. However, just as the gossip reached a fever pitch, Nick confirmed the sad news on August 21 to The Insider — he and Mariah are indeed living separately. However, while many are speculating that Nick was cheating on the elusive chanteuse, HollywoodLife.com can EXCLUSIVELY sort fact from fiction.
Was Nick Cannon Cheating On Mariah Carey? — The Truth Behind Their Split
“No, he wouldn’t do that to her,” a source close to the situation revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He chased her for years and when he finally got her, he couldn’t believe it. He really was floored that Mariah gave him a shot.
“He never cheated on her.”
However, it seems like Mariah begged to differ — it was reported by Page Six that Mariah had hired a bodyguard to follow Nick around Las Vegas to ensure that other girls didn’t get close to him! Not only that, but he was also barred from drinking, because she thinks that he “gets in trouble when he drinks.”
Mariah’s rep told Us Weekly, “I don’t comment on Mariah’s personal life,” her rep said, “but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour.”
Nick Cannon ‘Loves’ Mariah Carey And ‘Always Will’
Nick “loves her,” says our source, and “always will, because she was his everything and he had the world’s biggest crush on her.” However, now that they’re living separately, “things are dark, extremely.”
At least, in the midst of this sure-to-be-messy split, Mariah and Nick are focusing on their 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, first and foremost. Nick revealed as much to The Insider when he confirmed their split, and Mariah “intends to stay in NYC with the kids,” E! Online reported. “She will fight for the kids. She is totally focused on them.”
So, HollywoodLifers, did you think Nick was cheating? Do you think they’ll find a way to make it work, or are they finished for good? Let us know.
