‘Teen Mom 2’: Leah Slams Corey For Refusing To Accept Ali’s Condition

Wed, August 20, 2014 12:15pm EDT by Lauren Cox 22 Comments

Uh oh. Is Ali’s dad, Corey, still in denial about her muscular dystrophy? In an EXCLUSIVE clip from ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Leah and her husband, Jeremy, complain about Corey’s hesitation in helping Ali get her wheelchair from his insurance.

Leah Messer, 22, is constantly struggling to keep it together as she handles three very small children, including her daughter Ali Simms, 4, who suffers from a very rare form of muscular dystrophy. Without the help of Ali’s dad, Corey Simms, 24, will their little girl ever get the wheelchair she so desperately needs?

‘Teen Mom 2’ Preview: Leah & Jeremy Talk About Corey Behind His Back

Yikes. Leah does not seem happy with Corey.

On the Aug. 20 episode of Teen Mom 2, Leah gets a surprising phone call from her ex and the father of her two eldest daughters, Ali and Aleeah.

In the clip above, Corey tells Leah that he is planning on bringing the girls to the zoo over the weekend and that he would really like to take Ali’s wheelchair with him so that she can get around comfortably.

Wait, what? Yes, that really just happened!

However, while it finally seems like Corey has accepted that Ali needs her wheelchair and gets around better with it, Leah is still not pleased — and neither is her husband, Jeremy.

Shortly after Leah and Corey’s phone call, she sits with Jeremy in their living room and discusses how her ex really should be pushing his insurance company to approve Ali’s wheelchair. If you remember, on the previous episode of TM2, Ali was given a loaner chair from her therapist because Corey’s insurance feels she is far too young to drive a motorized chair on her own.

Be sure to watch the clip above to see how Jeremy reacts to the news that Corey asked for Ali’s wheelchair, and what the couple has to say about his lack of motivation in following up with the insurance company.

Let us know your thoughts, HollywoodLifers — Do you think Ali is too young to use a wheelchair? Do you think Corey needs to help fight with the insurance so that she can finally get her own? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
