Jason Momoa is about to bring some serious hunk status to Aquaman…twice! The ‘Game Of Thrones’ actor is said to be casted as the superhero in the highly-anticipated ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and a new report claims that Khal Drogo will also get his own ‘Aquaman’ solo movie!
Aquaman is heading to the big screen, and as HollywoodLife.com reported, Jason Momoa is most likely playing the King of Atlantis! More good news for all of you Jason fans out there (aka, every person in the world who appreciates a beautiful man) — it looks like he’ll play the superhero in not one, but two movies! Jason Momoa To Play Aquaman In ‘Justice League’ Spinoff
The exciting casting news was confirmed by HitFix, as HollywoodLife.com reported in June, although Warner Bros. has yet to officially comment on Jason playing Aquaman.
Now, even more news: Warner Bros. is developing a solo Aquaman movie, reports The Hollywood Reporter, and Jason will play the title character in his very own film!
The magazine adds the the studio is working on two separate scripts for the Aquaman movie. Kurt Johnstad who wrote 300: Rise of an Empire and Will Beall (Castle) will each pen their own version of the superhero saga.
Warner Bros. has nine DC Comics films in the works between 2016 and 2020, but has not released which flick will be Aquaman.
Two Jasons? Three Jasons? 10 zillion Jasons? We’re more than fine with that.
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck as Batman, is set to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
